I’m a Digital Media Specialist at the National Technical Institute for the Deaf at Rochester Institute of Technology (a job title which really is a hybrid of web designer and developer, with a bit of instructional design, multimedia production, and print design interspersed). I develop and design web sites and web applications that are focused on helping deaf learners at the college level achieve academic success, working with NTID faculty to develop visually engaging learning materials. Recently, in collaboration with colleagues and a group of talented student programmers, my colleagues and I have been developing custom video conferencing, streaming and online video recording tools as aids to classroom learning. I also do some freelance web design work. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design from RIT.
